The Architectural Regional Sales Manager is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with our customers, and generating new and continued business in the Southeast, Southwest, Caribbean, and Latin American territories. Qualified applicants will have experience in the architectural controls market including an understanding of the construction industry and ETC product lines, strong organization skills, and excellent communication skills. Position involves up to 50% travel.

Representative Responsibilities:
• Create new business opportunities and generate sales for ETC architectural
• Work with dealers and reps to call on end users and specifiers (consultants, engineers, and architects) to get ETC specified on new projects
• Keep abreast of consultant activity relating to Arch projects
• Maintain contact with key end user accounts in assigned region
• Help promote ETC architectural through direct visits with customers and future prospects
• Develop personal and long-term relationships with clients
• Coordinate on a regular basis with Architectural National Sales Manager to develop strategies for increasing sales and developing new architectural markets.
• Encourage and coordinate use of the Field Project Coordinators as a resource
• Travel extensively to visit customers and prospects
• Attends regional and national trade shows and follows up on leads from trade shows
• Helps organize and curate sales activity data in CRM system
• Stimulate the existing Factory Representative network towards selling more standard ETC equipment into the architectural markets
• Maintain good contact and relationships with ETC representatives and dealers through direct contact and interactions
• Assist other vertical ETC Regional Managers and representatives in strategic planning for bids and proposals to sell ETC equipment into the architectural markets
o Actively follow up on these proposals and assist in closing orders
• Ensure that all the distributors and representatives are treated fairly by the factory, and resolve any complaints and difficulties
• Develop long-term relationships with Distributors and factory representatives to ensure future business for ETC architectural
• Make recommendations to management on effectiveness of Reps in the assigned territory
• Stay abreast of the competitive sales environment in assigned regions and respond appropriately to insure adequate volume of sales and adequate sales margin for ETC
• Work with the other vertical ETC Regional Managers and Quotations group to establish discounts on a job-by-job basis
• Know the competition and their operational styles
• Evaluate representative progress in each area, and work with the other vertical ETC Regional Managers to implement improvements and changes
• Identify weak areas of the sales region and make efforts to strengthen those areas through training/promotion and direct contact with customers in the region
• Maintain and develop key accounts
• Maintain direct contact with existing key accounts
• Resolve problems, customer complaints, and regenerate good will towards ETC
• Negotiate sales arrangements for key accounts
• Entertain customers, develop, and maintain long term relations with key accounts
• Develop new key accounts to ensure long term business for ETC
• Assist in the development of potential national accounts and OEM relationships
• Organize and prioritize workload
• Identifiable problems are communicated to management when problems arise
• Priorities are met and jobs are completed on time
• Coordinates and collaborates with other departments of the company in establishing and carrying out responsibilities
• Develop and maintain positive communication between sales department and other departments.
• Manage expenses and budgets related to travel
• Other duties as assigned.
• Special projects and requests are completed in a timely and positive fashion.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Technical Theatre Degree, Illumination Engineering Degree, Architectural Design Degree or a related field or 8 years of comparable business experience in increasing responsible positions in a related discipline
• 5+ years previous experience in architectural lighting and/or sales preferred
• Knowledge of company policies

• Computer skills
• Knowledge of ETC products
• Familiarity with competitors’ products
