The essential duties of the Technical Systems Specialist are to provide technical, audiovisual control systems, and applications diagnostic support services to both internal and external clients.
Under supervision, this position provides technical, diagnostic and service support to clients and field teams.Assists in diagnosing and resolving problem calls with the aid of help desk tools, remote control tools, and manuals; monitors problem calls and resolutions; follows-up and reports calls to ensure a timely response and resolution. Assembles, tests and troubleshoots products as well as provides end-user training for MediaMationproducts. Prepares supporting documentation and reports. Duties would also include collaborating with the Engineering, Sales, and Production teams to deliver complex technical solutions and routines. Some travel required.
Skills in diagnoses, troubleshooting and support are required. A good understanding of computer systems with knowledge of audio and visual equipment, commercial lighting systems, and/or mechanical systems a plus. A desire to learn new technologies. Computer skills with Microsoft Office applications, (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Familiarity with remote desktop support. Excellent problem solving and communication skills. Ability to provide step by step technical help, both written and verbal is essential.
High School graduate or equivalent required. College degree in a related field or any combination of equivalent education and work experience.
Minimum two year experience in providing technical customer service support.

This is largely a sedentary role, however, some lifting is required. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift supplies up to 50 pounds. Technical Service Specialist employees may need to access systems that are situated under equipment, bolted to the floor, or in crawl spaces.
License & Certificates:
A valid California Class "C" driver's license or equivalent at time of appointment.
