To supervise the factory operations by leading a technical resources team and effectively responding to the requirements of the internal clients which are the company project managers. The production manager is responsible for maintaining all aspects of the production process from materials into final product out. The production manager must achieve the safety, quality, and quantity control to ensure the on-time delivery of produced products in order to satisfy the clients, within agreed cost parameters.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Production Planning and Execution: Develop comprehensive production plans and schedules for themed products and installations based on project requirements. Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, procurement, and logistics, to ensure seamless execution. Monitor production progress, resolve any issues, and ensure timely completion of projects.
Quality Control and Compliance: Establish and enforce stringent quality control processes to meet the high standards associated with the high-end IP brands Implement quality assurance measures throughout the production process, including inspections, testing, and adherence to brand guidelines and specifications. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
Resource Management: Optimize the allocation of resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to achieve production targets efficiently. Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components. Monitor resource utilization and identify opportunities for optimization and cost reduction.
Team Leadership and Development: Lead and motivate a diverse team of production supervisors, technicians, and workers. Provide guidance, coaching, and training to enhance their skills and capabilities. Foster a positive work culture that promotes collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Budgeting and Cost Control: Develop and manage the production budget, ensuring cost-effective utilization of resources. Monitor production costs, analyse variances, and implement corrective actions as necessary. Identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency enhancement without compromising quality or safety.
Stakeholder Management: Liaise with internal and external stakeholders. Maintain effective communication channels and address any concerns or issues in a timely manner. Build strong relationships to ensure smooth project execution and customer satisfaction. Fostering relationships with suppliers and vendors. Helping to ensure that the name and goodwill of the company is always maintained. Ensuring systems and procedures follow corporate guidelines.
Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance: Uphold and enforce the highest standards of health and safety practices within the production facility. Ensure compliance with relevant environmental regulations and sustainable manufacturing practices. Ensuring OH&S compliance for all statutory legislation.
Industry Research and Innovation: Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in theming manufacturing. Identify and implement innovative production techniques and methodologies to enhance efficiency, quality, and creativity.
Departmental Shaping & Motivation: Meet the international standards, build, and lead a high-performing team by recruiting, training, and motivating employees. Delegate tasks and responsibilities, provide feedback, conduct performance evaluations, and foster a positive work environment. Ensuring factory employee issues are addressed and managed promptly, effectively, and consistently in-line with company policy / legislation.

Professional Qualifications:

Bachelors in engineering/Tertiary qualified in a technical discipline and/or extensive experience in production/manufacturing operations

Skills and Attributes

Minimum 15 years’ experience in a manufacturing role. Exposure to theme park sectors would be advantageous.
Experience should include exposure to all aspects of a production including engineering, materials purchasing, staff management, quality systems and OH&S.
Strong knowledge of production machinery and techniques & Proven track record in successfully managing large-scale production projects, proficiency in relevant software tools, such as AutoCAD, P6, Sketchup and 3D.
Deal with industrial relations issues to achieve outcomes in line with company objectives.
